Meet Your Coach

Karl Mitchell - PGA Professional

I believe great golf starts with strong fundamentals.

The golf swing doesn’t need to be complicated. By understanding the key fundamentals and building a movement pattern that is simple and repeatable, golfers can develop the consistency needed to improve their game and enjoy golf more.

My coaching philosophy is centred around helping golfers understand their swing, the reasons behind the changes they are making, and how those changes can create long-term improvement. Every golfer is different, and my role is to identify the areas that will have the biggest impact while helping each player develop a swing that is reliable, repeatable, and suited to their own game.

My journey as a golf professional began at Beaudesert Golf Club, the place where I was born and raised and where my passion for the game first started. It was here that I began my journey as a PGA Associate, developing my foundations as both a player and coach while being surrounded by a strong golfing community that helped shape my approach to the game.

From Beaudesert, I moved into Brisbane and continued developing as a coach at McLeod Country Golf Club, where I gained valuable experience working with golfers of all ages and abilities. During my time there, I helped coach and develop a junior program that introduced and supported over 100 juniors throughout the year.

Throughout my coaching career, I have had the opportunity to work with golfers across all levels of the game - from beginners taking their first steps into golf through to players competing at the highest level of club competition, including both Men’s and Ladies’ A Grade Club Champions.

I have also enjoyed running Beginner Ladies Get Into Golf programs and Ladies Clinics, helping golfers build confidence, develop their skills, and enjoy the game more.

The most rewarding part of coaching is seeing golfers understand their game, create consistency, and achieve goals they once thought were out of reach.

Whether you are new to golf, looking to become more consistent, or wanting to take your game to the next level, my goal is simple - provide clear coaching, build strong foundations, and help you become a more confident golfer.
